The company was founded in Sofia as a small glass-processing workshop, laying the foundations of a long-standing tradition of quality.

Daks-96 Ltd. has been recognised on the Bulgarian market as a serious and reliable partner in the glass industry since 1994.
New production facility

Global partnerships and new infrastructure
In 2000, Daks-96 began working with Slovenia-based TKK, a manufacturer of consumables for glass and insulating glass units; Italy-based Profilglass, a manufacturer of spacer bars for insulating glass units; and Bohle, a German leader in glass-processing machinery and tools. During the same period, the company became the representative of the Italian companies Glaston /Z. Bavelloni/, a leader in glass-processing machinery and tempering lines; Polyglass, Stefiglass and Maver, manufacturers of machinery and equipment for insulating glass unit production; and RBB, a manufacturer of glass-handling equipment.
Construction of the company's warehouse and administrative building in Sofia began in May 2000.
New production facility
In 2005, construction began on a production facility for processing glass and mirrors for the construction and furniture industries.
Facility modernisation with industry leaders
In 2006, the facility was equipped with machinery from Bavelloni, Bussetti and Polyglass, global leaders in glass-processing equipment.
That year the company also began working with German manufacturer Reinhardt-Technik, a producer of two-component extruders for sealing insulating glass units with polyurethane, polysulfide or silicone.
Daks-96 also began working with the newly built Şişecam plant in Bulgaria, Trakya Glass.
Major expansion and a new 3,500 sq.m. warehouse and production facility
In 2007, construction of the newest section of the warehouse and production facility in Sofia was completed, increasing the total warehouse area to 3,500 sq.m.
Opening of a warehouse in Plovdiv
At the beginning of 2011, the company opened an 800 sq.m. warehouse in Plovdiv.
A new stage in production: jumbo cutting and lamination
In 2012, the company upgraded and expanded production with a jumbo line for cutting monolithic and laminated glass, an edging line and a lamination line.
Daks-96 introduces a tempering line and CNC centre
In 2014, the company expanded production with a tempering and bending line and a CNC processing centre.
Modernisation of the machinery fleet
In 2015, new frosting, drilling and painting machines were installed.
Daks-96 expands to Burgas and modernises production
In 2017, an extension to the Daks-96 production facility in Sofia was completed. A screen-printing line, an edging line and an automatic corner-rounding machine were installed, and the company opened its warehouse in Burgas.
Capacity expansion with vertical machines and a new lamination line
In 2019, production capacity was expanded with a new vertical edging machine and water-treatment system, a crane system with a vacuum lifting device, an automatic vertical drilling machine, a lamination line and a vertical washing machine.
Phased machinery renewal and logistics expansion
February 2021 – Installation of a new vertical CNC glass-processing machine with an integrated washing machine.
April 2021 – Commissioning of a new warehouse facility.
November 2021 – Installation of a new horizontal washing machine.
Transition to full automation and more sustainable production
February 2022 – Installation of a new waterjet cutting machine and a new vertical CNC glass-processing machine with an integrated washing machine.
March 2022 – Installation of a new glass-edging line with a washing machine and water-treatment system.
April 2022 – Installation of a new insulating glass unit production line with a sealing robot and all supporting machinery, including a butyl extruder, an automatic desiccant-filling machine and an automatic spacer-bending machine.
Faster, safer deliveries with specialised heavy transport
June 2023 – Purchase of a new heavy-duty truck for specialised glass transport.
Green energy and a high-tech future: Daks-96 enters a new technological era
October 2024 – Purchase of two new light commercial vehicles with specialised glass racks and one new flatbed light commercial vehicle.
