Glass railings are getting increasingly popular in homes, public areas and commercial buildings. A glass railing is a modern and stylish safety barrier, providing strength and safety in conjunction with maximum unobstructed views.

Daks-96 can offer a wide range of unique glass railings design options that are specifically engineered to fit your individual needs and can be created in a variety of shapes, sizes, colors and types. They are extremely versatile and suitable for commercial or residential properties and their elegance is suited to contemporary or traditional tastes. They can create an illusion of unlimited space with frameless systems giving a seemingly floating staircase appearance.

Generally there are three different glass railing options that are available:

Post and rail system - This is where the glass is used as an infill panel and held with clamps between steel or timber up-rights. Glass thickness generally tends to be 10mm toughened or equivalent laminated glass.
Bolted system - Where the glass is free standing and held with fabricated stainless steel bolts through the floor. Glass thickness can be from 12mm toughened up to 19mm toughened or an equivalent laminated or toughened laminated glass. Generally the glass needs to continue about 270mm below floor level where it is bolted into the floor material.
Clamped system - Where the glass is free standing and fixed into a channel at the floor. Glass thickness general tends to be 15mm-19mm toughened or an equivalent laminated or toughened laminated glass depending on the application or architects specification.
