Tempered glass is produced through a carefully controlled heating and cooling process that significantly increases its mechanical strength and thermal resistance—up to four to five times greater than that of standard annealed glass.
In addition to its enhanced durability, tempered glass offers superior safety performance. In the event of breakage, it shatters into small, relatively harmless fragments rather than sharp shards, reducing the risk of injury.
The tempered glass supplied by Dax-96 complies with the requirements of the European standard EN 12150-1 – Glass in Building – Thermally Toughened Soda Lime Silicate Safety Glass, based on which a certificate of conformity can be issued.
